Development Institute Ghana hosts the Fifth Annual ICA West Africa Regional Conference

The ICA West Africa Regional conference, which is organized every year in one of the five member countries, is taking place in Ghana this week from the 18th to the 22nd of November, 2019. The programme is being hosted by the Development Institute, a non-governmental not-for-profit organization working to promote sustainable development in some parts of Ghana, mainly in the Volta Region.

The programme, which is ongoing, began with an opening ceremony from 10:00 to 11:30 am on Monday. Aside from participants from member countries, some invited guests also took part in this session. The programme commenced with an opening prayer, brief background information on ICA and acknowledgement of invited guests as well as participants by the Development Institute.

The welcome address was given by the Executive Director of the Development Institute and this was followed by statements from the Vice President for ICA West Africa and a representative from the Volta Regional Coordinating Council (VRCC). The climax of the programme was the official opening which was done by the representative from the VRCC.

After, the opening ceremony, we continue with countries report. We heard from ICA Benin and DI Ghana and ICA Cote d’Ivoire. We will continue will country reports and presentation on Community Sustainable Financial Engineering.

For the conference, Participants arrived from Benin, Cote d’Ivoire, Nigeria, Togo and Ghana.
