ICA Kenya aims at enabling both rural and urban slum communities to improve their standard of living through self-help development. This is achieved by:

• Empowering local communities with skills that strengthen their ability to direct their own development;
• Promoting participatory approaches to dealing with challenges facing individuals and communities; and
• Collaborating with other organisations and individuals in the public and private sectors, in order to share information and improve approaches to development.
