About Us

ICA Zambia is a non-governmental organisation registered in 1978. Its mission is to facilitate and catalyse people's capacity to change their own lives and shape their future through training and implementation of their own plans.

ICA Zambia has reach more than 35,000 people across Zambia. Activities have scaled down in recent years. In 2006, ICA Zambia supporters began a process revitalizing the organization through a future merger with the Organization for the Promotion of Meaningful Development through Active Participation (OPAD), which was also designed around ICA approaches and methodologies. The merged organization will take the name ICA Zambia and aim to reach 35,000 more of Zambia’s most vulnerable people by 2013.
