EHIO – Farhang va Tarakkiyot is a non-governmental, non-profit, non-political voluntary organization located in Khujand city in the north of Tajikistan in Central Asia.
In 2001 the organization was registered as PO “EHIO – ICA: EHIO.” In 2007 it was re-registered in accordance with the Republic of Tajikistan Law on Public Organizations and changed its name to "EHIO – Farhang va Tarakkiyot; (Farhang in Russian means culture, and tarakkiyot – means development). In October 2009 Public Organization “EHIO – Farhang va Tarakkiyot” was re-registered by the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Tajikistan as a republican Public Organization. The organization has opened and registered a branch in Kurgan-Tube (Khatlon oblast, south of Tajikistan).
The mission of EHIO - Farhang va Tarakkiyot is assistance in improvement of life quality of vulnerable sectors of population, development of communities and organizations of Tajikistan, strengthening of their potential through trainings, facilitation of Participation, as well as rendering social services for implementation of positive social changes in the Republic of Tajikistan.
