Next week is International Facilitation Week!

iaf_logo_ifw2015_rgb-01International Facilitation Week takes place each year during the month of October, catalysed by the International Association of Facilitators (IAF).  Its purpose is to celebrate and promote the power of facilitation to both new and existing audiences, and to create a sense of community among facilitators and their groups worldwide. Since its launch in 2013, the week has become a spark that ignites activities around the world to highlight the benefits of facilitation, the gifts of facilitators and the comradeship of IAF. The invitation to celebrate the week is open to everyone – anyone who is holding an activity to celebrate the week is welcome to use the logo.

Join facilitators everywhere in celebrating and promoting the power of facilitation next week – browse the global event list of dozens of online and face-to-face events, or convene and add your own. Follow and participate on twitter and other social media with the #FacWeek hashtag.

IAF was founded in 1994 by a group of 70 ICA ToP facilitators, and has grown to a global network of around 1,600 members in over 60 countries.  ICAI and IAF have a joint working group established under a Memorandum of Understanding to explore ways to promote and support greater co-ordination and collaboration between our organisations and communities, globally and locally.
